How strangely contradictory our human instincts can seem sometimes.

At once both social and solitary, the need as social creatures for companionship conflicts with an inherent desire for natural space around us to provide a sense of security and control over our immediate surroundings.

Only the trusted are welcome within those unseen boundaries.
