The Color Morale (they're American, that's how they spell 'colour' over there) employ traditional Rock songwriting sensibilities with deeper lyrical substance and set it to a contemporary Metalcore / Post-Hardcore (ish) sonic background. The band, fronted by the excellent voice of Garret Rapp, are an impressive live band. So good in fact that after seeing them play it made me check out their full albums rather than just the well known singles I already knew. When your time is filled with constantly listening to new music, trying to keep up with as many bands as you can, that's a big compliment! The Color Morale is now one of my favourite bands to listen to for late night photo editing sessions... for some reason the music always sounds so good to me listening through the headphones, in the dark with just the glow of my Monitor.

The Color Morale have a new album, called "Hold On Pain Ends", to be released at the beginning of September and will be touring the UK with The Word Alive in October.
